Background
In 2008, The Alliance for Health Equity invested over $13 million in public and private funding to build and open the Brandywine Center. This integrated health facility stands as a testament to our commitment of advancing health equity by fostering collaborative constituents through the provision of high-quality services and facilities, particularly for underserved and marginalized members of the community.
Today, AHE’s Brandywine Center serves as a central hub for health and wellness services in Greater Coatesville. Free parking is available behind the building, across the street, and along Chester Ave.
What You’ll Find at AHE's Brandywine Center
Equity Health Center (EHC)
Situated on the fourth floor, the EHC features a range of collaborative spaces. It houses:
- Community Volunteers in Medicine’s Microsite
- Legacy Services and the Mobile Mental Health Crisis Response Team
- AHE’s Food As Medicine (FAM) program
- Two Conference Rooms, including AV Equipment and Projectors
Union Community Care
A Federally Qualified Health Center offering person-centered services, including:
- Integrated Primary Care
- Pediatric Services
- Dental Services
- Chronic Disease Management
- Behavioral Health Service
Affordable Senior Housing
The second and third floors of AHE’s Brandywine Center feature 24 apartment units designed for affordable senior living.

Conference Rooms for Rent
- The Kay Conference Room accommodates up to 100 guests and is ideal for nonprofit gatherings, luncheons, trainings, and more.
- The Small Conference Room accommodates up to 20 guests and is ideal for smaller gatherings in the heart of the City.
