Following the Brandywine Hospital Closure, the Hea

Following the Brandywine Hospital Closure, the Health Equity Group of Greater Coatesville (formerly the Greater Coatesville Hospital Closure Group) convened and developed strategies to increase health access and affordability for Coatesville residents.
Over the past year, the Group conducted a survey with over 1,100 respondents, key informant interviews, and focus groups to determine the current health status of Coatesville. The Summary Report of the Hospital Closure Impact on Health Equity in Greater Coatesville describes the findings of this survey, as well as defines its Anchor Strategy to remove barriers to health and advance health equity to residents in Greater Coatesville.

Whether you are a food, drink, music, or just a Coatesville enthusiast, we invite you to �Taste of Coatesville to showcase the City's various businesses and entrepreneurs!
On Thursday, June 22 from 5:30 - 8:00 PM, join The Alliance's board and staff, and community heroes at The Graystone Mansion in Coatesville.
During this event, you'll be taken into the heart of Coatesville by taste testing over eight food vendors, listening to various local musicians, touring the City's parks, and networking with community entrepreneurs for potential partnerships. Vendors and musicians unable to attend due to prior commitments will supply their business information, flyers, and menus during the event.
You'll leave the event knowing where you'll choose your next date night, outdoor gathering, and merchant service. You'll also leave with a Coatesville program of businesses and a goodie bag enclosed with a little bit of love from local vendors.

We hope all who attended The Alliance's Let's Talk session last Thursday enjoyed the community presentations! The panelists unanimously voted to increase the award as there was a second-place tie. Here's the recap:

The Alliance for Health Equity (The Alliance) anno

The Alliance for Health Equity (The Alliance) announces the appointment of Kevin Ressler (pictured) to be the incoming President and CEO starting July 10, 2023. Kevin Ressler will be departing as the CEO of United Way of Lancaster County. Kevin holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Eastern Mennonite University in Justice, Peace, and Conflict Studies and a Masters of Divinity from Lancaster Theological Seminary.
The Alliance conducted a national search for its President and CEO to ensure new leadership is strategically aligned with its mission and vision in health, equity, and resilience for a Greater Coatesville community. During Kevin’s tenure at United Way, he helped lead the organization into many new projects and initiatives such as Project SOS, a mutual aid effort involving COVID-19 stimulus check sharing; the Level Up & Launch community empowerment grants; and the recently revamped Project Blueprint, a training program which aims to create more equitable and inclusive organizational boards.
Valerie Martin, Chair of the Board of Directors stated: “The Alliance for Health Equity is delighted to welcome Kevin Ressler as its next Chief Executive Officer. He brings a deep background in nonprofit management and a passion for his work and the community. On behalf of the board and staff of The Alliance, we welcome him to the team and look forward to supporting his leadership as we all work together with our community partners to ensure that Coatesville is a healthy, equitable and thriving community”.

Over the past year, the Health Equity Group of Gre

Over the past year, the Health Equity Group of Greater Coatesville (formerly the Greater Coatesville Hospital Closure Group) convened and conducted a Greater Coatesville health survey to determine the community's health status following the closure of The Brandywine Hospital. The committee thanks all who participated in the health survey.
On Wednesday, May 24th from 9:00 - 10:00 AM via Zoom, Equity Oversight Leaders Nicholas Torres and Lissette Vilarchao, as well as data analyst Mike Clark will host the Greater Coatesville Health Report Symposium. This symposium will discuss the findings of the health survey and discuss next steps to advance health equity and access in the Greater Coatesville area. We invite you to listen in on the findings and share your thoughts during the open forum portion of the symposium. Registration is required to join.
