The Educational Equity Alliance program, referred to as Coatesville Kids to College (CKC) uses Seed-And-Scale Match Fund to expand its “Pipeline of Promise from Pre-K to College,” aiming to enhance its proven academic continuum. CKC focuses on enrolling children early and supporting them through to high school graduation. However, the program currently lacks a kindergarten component and faces limited enrollment in elementary grades due to funding constraints. 

The 2024–2025 Scale Elementary Programs initiative is designed to address this gap by increasing student capacity by 20%. This expansion includes adding 15 students to a new kindergarten afterschool program and 3-5 students in each elementary age group, beginning with the 2024 Summer Camp. 

CKC has a strong track record, with over 96% of preschool graduates meeting or exceeding academic benchmarks upon entering kindergarten and 90% of elementary through high school students achieving or surpassing grade-level proficiency in Reading and Math. These outcomes significantly surpass those of Coatesville public school students who do not receive additional academic support. 

By engaging students and families from preschool through high school, including participation in workforce development courses and leadership roles as Junior Camp Counselors, CKC fosters long-term academic success and community involvement. Expanding CKC’s pipeline with a new kindergarten program and increased elementary capacity will maximize support for Coatesville students, particularly those classified as ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) by the United Way, ensuring their academic and personal success.
