Empowering Change Through Community Support

Max's Kicks for Kids

Discover how our Seed-And-Scale Grantee is transforming Greater Coatesville and making strides towards a healthier future for all.

Background

Max’s Kicks for Kids is a charitable initiative dedicated to providing new sneakers to children and youth in need. By sourcing shoes from Adidas and Nike outlets, the program ensures that these young individuals have access to name-brand footwear, helping to boost their confidence and sense of belonging while also supporting their mental health. Comfortable and well-fitting shoes promote physical well-being, enabling participation in physical education and sports activities.

The Seed-And-Scale Match Fund supports the “Kicks for Coatesville” project. This project partners with 10 Chester County nonprofits that serve families experiencing homelessness, housing insecurity, health challenges, and financial difficulties. This project specifically targets children and youth in Coatesville, particularly those supported by the CYWA.

Currently, the budget covers shoes for 120 young people. With the grant, the goal is to extend this support to every child whose family seeks assistance from CYWA, easing the financial burden on struggling parents. An increased budget of $12,000 would provide shoes for 300 children, with additional funding from AHE’s match program aimed at expanding the reach to Coatesville families assisted by Home of the Sparrow.

$10,000 in donations will be matched DOLLAR-FOR-DOLLAR by The Alliance for Health Equity.
