Empowering Change Through Community Support

Mitzvah Circle

Discover how our Seed-And-Scale Grantee is transforming Greater Coatesville and making strides towards a healthier future for all.

Background

Mitzvah Circle addresses critical gaps in support for vulnerable populations, where over 98% of the individuals they serve live below the poverty line and rely on government assistance programs like SNAP and WIC. Although these programs are vital, they often fall short in covering necessities such as diapers, clothing, period supplies, personal hygiene products, and school supplies.

Mitzvah Circle’s Critical Needs for Healthy Families, Diaper Bank, and Period Supply programs work to fill these gaps by purchasing and distributing these essential items. These supplies are crucial for individuals to attend medical appointments, go to work or school, and fully engage in their communities.

As community needs continue to grow, Mitzvah Circle depends on funding support to keep up with increasing demand. The organization served 2,557 people in Greater Coatesville in 2022 and expanded its reach to 4,129 individuals in 2023.
