The Alliance for Health Equity – SMS Terms of Use and Privacy Policy 

SMS Terms of Use 

Effective Date: 10/14/2025 

By opting in to or using the text messaging (“SMS”) service offered by The Alliance for Health Equity (“AHE,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to these SMS Terms of Use. These Terms are incorporated by reference into AHE’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Use, which also apply to your participation in this service. 

1. Definitions 

“Opt-In” means providing your consent to receive one or more text messages from The Alliance for Health Equity, such as by signing up through a web form, event registration, or other means. 

“Text Message Service” refers to any communication service in which AHE sends one or more messages to your mobile phone number via SMS, MMS, or related messaging technologies. 

2. Consent to Receive Text Messages 

By opting in, you consent to receive text messages from AHE related to our programs, initiatives, and community engagement. These may include updates, reminders, or other relevant communications. Your consent is not a condition of any service, and you may withdraw your consent at any time by following the opt-out instructions below. 

3. E-Sign Disclosure 

By agreeing to receive text messages, you consent to the use of an electronic record to document your agreement. You may withdraw your consent to this electronic record by replying STOP to any text message we send. 

4. Costs 

AHE does not charge you to send or receive text messages. However, message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan. Please contact your wireless carrier for details on your plan’s pricing. 

5. Message Frequency 

The frequency of messages you receive will vary depending on your interaction with AHE and specific programs or events you engage with. You may receive an initial confirmation message and additional updates or responses as needed. 

6. Opt-Out and Help Instructions 

You may cancel your participation in the SMS service at any time by replying STOP, QUIT, END, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE to any text message. You may also text HELP for assistance. After opting out, you may receive a one-time confirmation message acknowledging your request. No further messages will be sent unless you re-subscribe. 

7. Privacy 

AHE respects your privacy. We collect, use, and disclose information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Information you provide through the SMS service is used only to send messages and respond to your inquiries. We may share this information with vendors and service providers who assist us in delivering messages but do not sell or share text message opt-in data for marketing purposes. This SMS Privacy Policy explains how The Alliance for Health Equity (“AHE”) collects and uses information when you participate in our text messaging service.

When you opt in to receive messages from us, we collect:

– Technical information related to message delivery (such as timestamps or carrier information).
