Let’s Talk: Community-Designed Solutions Health and Wellness Series

Do you have a creative idea or solution to strengthen the Health and Wellness of Greater Coatesville? Or are you interested in listening in and voting for Coatesville residents ideas and solutions?

Join is as a presenter, guest attendee, or community sponsor on Thursday, November 16 for the kick-off of Let’s Talk: Community-Designed Solutions 2.0 (CDS Challenge)! The CDS Challenge invests in community-created solutions by empowering Coatesville citizens in the places where they live, lifting their voices, and building their power to shape the services and programs that affect them. The Alliance is currently seeking individuals, organizations, and businesses to submit their ideas and solutions of the community’s status on health and wellbeing as they are the experts in their own experiences. The session will answer the question, What is your idea(s) on giving Greater Coatesville families and residents what’s necessary to live a healthy life?

Joining as a guest attendee: We invite you to cheer on and supply feedback to Coatesville community members who are presenting their solution on the health and wellness status of Greater Coatesville! During the session, you will listen to seven (7) Community-Created solutions and vote for the best CDS presentations to receive one $2,500 award, one $1,000 award, and three $500 awards. We will also have a table of health and wellness resources available to you. Free food and refreshments will be provided. Register in advance here

Joining as a presenter (Submissions closed on Oct. 20th): This Challenge invites community members at all levels of experience. Whether you are a seasoned educator or know your community needs, we’re supporting you and students to design and present a solution through various trainings held by The Alliance. Interested community members will submit their ideas and understandings relating to Coatesville’s Health and Wellbeing via an online portal. The Alliance team will then supply personalized training and guidance on how to develop a sustainable solution based on their idea that includes a gap analysis, financials, team profiles, and timeline. Once training is complete, the community member officially becomes a CDS participant and is prepared to present their solution on November 16th. The session will also convene, co-investors, The Alliance’s grantmaking committee, community members, and partners to co-invest in your idea and vote for prizes of (1) $2,500, (1) $1,000, and (3) $500 awards.
