“In my role, I have the advantage of the “30,000-foot viewpoint” through the direct work of our staff and the indirect work through our grant-funded partners. Sharing and learning from peer CEOs at other foundations is allowing the lessons learned in wider community to be brought here while also taking the lessons learned here and sharing them in other communities to build solutions tailored to the specific instead of the general. I am grateful to receive such input and do my small part in trying to concretize the abstract.”
